OCTOBER 2023 NEWSLETTER

The Committee have been busy mapping out a fun packed autumn diary with lots of training for all abilities and disciplines. We are awaiting the final confirmations from some of the instructors and venues but we wanted to give you a taster of what’s to come.

Games Practise

• Juniors & Seniors every Monday night from mid October
• Mini’s every other Saturday with Sheila Barbour at Trewint Farm

Show Jumping

• Katy Ford Tuesday clinics are back! They will be on a fortnightly basis on a Tuesday evening, hopefully alternating between Duckhurst & Petley Wood. The first one will be held on 10^th October at Duckhurst. Timings usually 5pm (70), 6pm (80) & 7pm (90+).
• Francis Whittington Sunday Series at Ringle Green Farm will take place on a monthly basis. 22^nd October, 12^th November & 3^rd December.
• Sarah Copp is going to run a number of sessions at both Freshfields on a Sunday and a couple of evenings at Petley Wood. These will be aimed at those jumping 40 – 60. Dates to be confirmed shortly.
• Sheila Barbour will be holding fortnightly show jumping/pole work clinics (alternating with Games) at Trewint Farm on a Saturday for mini’s.

Grids/Showjumping

• Alex Chambers at Pebsham on 14^th October & 11^th November.

Stable Management & test training

• Shane Carter & Harriet Moor will provide training for D+, C & C+ test to be held at Poppinghole Farm.
• Lena Pearson Wood is providing B test training – by invitation only at Ringle Green Farm

Flatwork/Dressage
Dates to follow!

Half Term

• Katy Ford Rally on 26^th October from 11am. Open to all.

What this space for other spooky going’s on…….

RMPC run competitions
The Autumn is pretty packed with other pony club branches’ competitions but we have a series of Games competitions, a Christmas show jumping extravaganza and in the new year an Arena Eventing Competition.
Mounted Games Competitions at Bodiam are as follows:

• Pairs: 28^th October, 2^nd December, 20^th January
• Teams: 24^th February, 2^nd March

We will notify everyone via e-mail and the Romney Marsh Information Facebook page as soon as we can confirm dates and open booking.
