Pony Club Efficiency Tests
The Pony Club Training structure encourages members to take tests which enables them to learn progressively about horse and pony care and riding. The tests are taken at recommended ages and are designed with certain objectives in mind – see below for the order in which tests are taken.
All E to C Tests are generally achieved over the summer at our weekly Rallies, for C+ upwards your instructor will suggest when you are ready to prepare and take the tests, if your not sure please contact Christine or Lena, their contact details can be found the Meet the Team page.

Recommended minimum age: 4 years
Felt Colour: Pale yellow
D Test
The Road Rider Mini Achievement Badge is a prerequisite before taking the D Test
Recommended minimum age: 8 years
Felt Colour: Yellow
D+ Test
Recommended minimum age: 10 years
Felt Colour: White
C Test
Candidates must have passed The Pony Club’s Road Rider Achievement Badge.
Recommended minimum age: 11 years

C+ Test
Recommended minimum age: 13 years
Felt Colour: Pale pink
Road Rider Test
Recommended minimum age: 12 years
B Test Pony Care
Recommended minimum age: 15 years
Felt Colour: Beige
B Test Riding
Recommended minimum age: 15 years
Felt Colour: Red
Lungeing Test
It is necessary to pass this test before progressing.

Felt Colour: Light blue
B+ Test
Recommended minimum age: 16 years
Felt Colour: Purple
AH Test
Recommended minimum age: 17 years
Felt Colour: Orange (Honors: Salmon pink)
A Test
Recommended minimum age: 18 years
Felt Colour: Blue (Honors: Purple)
